AUTUMN SPLENDOR IN BEULAHLAND
Just take a breath of the clear autumn air, drink in the splendor its colors so fair,
a day to be thankful for being alive, one to reflect on when snowstorms arrive.
The colors so vivid so bright and serene, the view is so lovely, a wonderful dream.
Look out as far as the eye can see, what a glorious portrait for you and for me.
Who could paint this magnificent sight? Only the fingers of God can excite
our minds, our emotions, our feelings of bliss What a gift, like a loving, heavenly kiss.
1 Chronicles 16:33, 34 (NIV)
Then the trees of the forest will sing, they will sing for joy before the LORD.…
Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His love endures forever.
Excerpts from “David’s Prayer” 1Chronicles 29:11 (NIV)
Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty
and the splendor, for everything in Heaven and earth is yours……
SUNSET ON MAUTHE LAKE
The sun is setting on Mauthe Lake; a glorious, incredible picture to take!
The burning sun, what a stunning sight, soon to make way for another night.
The colors, so vivid, shades of red, grey, and blue presenting an awesome, mystical, hue
.a kaleidoscope of changes, I wish they could stay what a breathtaking way to end the day
The lake is a mirror, so still and serene, reflecting the sky like a great movie screen.
Insects and tadpoles disturb the still lake, skimming the surface they leave a small wake.
Dragon flies edge so close, seeking food; leaping fish prove, too close, for their good.
Summer solstice is here in full swing, to welcome the season, farewell to spring.
This lovely evening must end too soon. Camping will end next afternoon.
The mem’ries will linger of a setting sun, the pictures we’ve taken, the viewing was fun.
Deuteronomy 33:13-16 (NIV) May the Lord bless His land with the precious dew from the Heaven above and with the deep waters that lie below; with the best the sun brings forth, and the finest the moon can yield; ….and the favor of Him who dwelt in the burning bush.
